What the scanner looks for
Cookies
Small files that your store and the apps on it save in a visitor's browser, from login and cart details to analytics and advertising.
Local storage
Data a page keeps in the visitor's browser with no expiry date, often used much like a cookie.
Pixels
Tiny images and scripts, such as those from advertising and analytics tools, that report a visit back to a third party.

Is the Cookie Scanner free?
Yes. The report is free. All you need is your store's web address and an email address to confirm.
Which stores can I scan?
The scanner is built for Shopify stores, so it knows the cookies that Shopify and its apps typically set.
Why do I need to confirm my email?
The confirmation link makes sure the report goes to an address you control, and it is what starts the scan.
What should I do with the results?
